Freshman Academy will provide a smaller learning community that will allow freshmen to know their teachers and administrators better, thus maximizing their opportunities for success in high school.  Freshmen will participate in activities that will enhance their knowledge of the curriculum, themselves, and the world around them.

Freshman schedules will consist of 4 block classes each semester.  Block classes are semester length, 90 minute classes each day.  Students will be eligible to obtain 8 credits per year (4 credits 1^st semester and 4 credits 2^nd semester).  Students have 8 minutes between classes to allow them ample time to get from one class to another.

Freshmen will take core classes:  English, algebra, earth environmental science, and world history.  All core classes will take place in the Freshman Academy.  Students will leave the academy for elective classes.

1^st period                           8:00 – 9:30

2^nd period                          9:38 – 11:09

3^rd period and lunch         11:17 – 1:17

4^th period                          1:25 – 2:55
