Education: Bachelor of Science in Social Studies, Appalachian State. MA in School Administration from Gardner Webb University.
Background: Principal of Crest High since 2002. I've never worked at another school. I began my career as a student teacher from Appalachian State in the fall of 1976. Soon after graduation I came to work at Crest High as the first ISS Director. I soon moved to the social studies department and taught psychology, US History, civics, and a number of other courses over the years. On March 6, 2000 I was appointed an assistant principal by Crest Principal Roger McSwain. A year and a half later, on July 1, 2002, Superintendent Gene Moore appointed me principal of Crest High School.  Joel Hoyle

Education: Bachelor of Science from Clemson University, Masters in Agricultural Education from Clemson, and MA in School Administration from Gardner Webb University.
Background: I have been an assistant principal at Crest since 2002. Previous to moving into this position I taught agriculture at Crest for five years. I began my teaching career at North Lenoir High School in Kinston, and also taught at Wayne Community College in Goldsboro N.C. I am a graduate of Crest High School, class of 1984.

Education: Associate of Science in Forest Management Technology, Haywood Community College. Bachelor of Science in Natural Resource Management, Western Carolina University. Master of Arts in School Administration, Western Carolina University.
Background: Prior to becoming an assistant principal I taught biology, earth science, and physical science at Crest for six years. I also served Crest athletics as a wrestling coach and Fellowship of Christian Athletes director. Previous to teaching and coaching at Crest I taught and coached at Saint Stephens High School for one year. Education: BA Education UNCC, MA School Administration Gardner-Webb University Background: I am a graduate of Crest High School. I went on to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education. I taught elementary school for seven years. I obtained a Master of Arts in School Administration at Gardner Webb University. I have been an assistant principal in elementary and high school.
